when i bought the car, it was bone stock.the swap was done in june 2006. i had a friend going to school in japan as an exchange student, and asked him to scope me out a type R engine from a scrap yard. so i waited and he called me and said, that there was a 1999 black type R at a local scrap yard, which was smashed at the back. the car only had 29000 kms.i said thats the one. so at the end of the day, it cost me about 5000 to have the engine at my door.the swap, suspension, mounts etc was all done in july 2006.before the engine went in, it got a full race port and polish,and also a match port by racing evolution, as well as a mugen head gasket, timing belt and water pump.the car is sitting on full skunk 2 race springs, with kyb gas shocks, rota circuit 8 rims with falken azenis tire.total of 4 strut/sway bars on the car, all skunk 2,full 2.5 custom piping exhaust,jays racing intake{the whale dick},fuel pressure reg,---- 4to 1 header, 4.7 final drive, exeddy stage 3 clutch and flywheel which was done literally 2500kms ago.. 4 wheel disc brakes,type R master cylinder ,ebc green brake pads,carbon fibre spoon bonnet{real spoon}, spoon carbon mirrors, spoon shift ****, megan a/f guage, alpine deck,8k H.I.D headlights, along with JDM black headlights, and a mugen front lip.i have never ran this thing down the quarter mile,or at the track, but it can eaisly do both.the engine until date only has about 63000 kms, and the body of the car has 150000.i dont drive this car everyday, only in the evening, and have also took it to the cottage a few times. the car looks awesome, sounds absolutly wicked, pulls like hell, right up until 9000 rpm, and the best of all, its awesome on gas.its gonna be hard for me to watch this car drive away, but truth is, i have to. i am buying a house with my girlfriend, and i need this cash for downpayment.
