Catalytic Converter or No catalytic converter?
My 95 integra got smashed from the bottom for being too low.
the catalytic converter got smashed in 2. I'm driving it right now while I think of what to do. Should I remove the catalytic converter and put a straight pipe or should I replace it with an aftermarket cat. How loud will it sound? because the amount of noise will cause me to be pulled over. I don't really care about the pollution at this time (sorry). How hard is it to install a downstream o2 sensor? What are the fines like? How much horsepower would I gain? Is my car gonna get set on fire from unused gasoline? Any other information that would be useful please let me know. I want to go to the shop on Monday. Thanks in advance everyone.

Putting a pipe to replace your cat is stupid, the become louder, and not in a good way as it has a tingy sound to it, and the cops can tell me the sound, plus if a cop looks under your car as see no cat, they can pull your plate and the car off the road, plus it's like a $330 ticket from the cop, and you can also get other tickets as well. Your not really going to gain any more hp that you will notice, and if any thing, you just punch out the cat, that way the cat shell is still there looking like you have one there.
I would just say replace the cat with another one, there is no point going with a hi-flow car if your car is still pretty much stock, your just wasting money. Parts Source sells Magnaflow cats for like $70, pick one up and get it welded on.
