exposed flywheel and timing belt.. bad?

Default exposed flywheel and timing belt.. bad?

hey friends.. i recently got a new civic with a b18c5 in it and upon inspection discovered that the flywheel and timing belt are both exposed.. should i look into parts to cover these up or are they fine being exposed? if anybody has these spare parts shoot me a pm

the timing belt cover you dont really need.. old wives tale that things can get in there and skip the teeth. the flywheel inspection plate should be there as its on the underside and ---- can fly in it and possibly cause damage.

you should have the t belt covered up as much as possible. water spashing from the road. will shorten the life of the belt. same as winter salts and other road grime..
